Lynchburg University is a small University that made it to their first Division III National Championship in Men’s Lacrosse. The game is played on the same weekend as Division I, so the NCAA utilizes an NFL stadium to host the games and it’s the biggest event in lacrosse in the world. We created multiple edited videos, social media live coverage, and a website to host all the content and communicate with alumni and coordinate tailgating events put on by the University.
A mobile-ready, temporary Championship Weekend website was created to host photos, videos, social media posts, and event information all in one place that was easy for alumni to find everything in one place.
Our crew setup a mobile marketing and content creation studio in the team hotel across the street from Philly City Hall. Every day, multiple times a day, we edited videos for real-time online updates of the teams activities during the weekend as they jump from practice at Drexel University, visited Independence Hall, and practice at Lincoln Field (Eagles).
Lynchburg University then gave us control of their official social media accounts. Our small team of videographers, editors, and social media managers spent the weekend in Philadelphia with the team giving updates to Lynchburg alumni around the country. For people who couldn’t make it to Philly, they felt even closer to the team and the University. For alumni planning to attend the game, we worked with the office of alumni relations to post information about exclusive alumni events Philly.
We had thousands of interactions on Facebook and Twitter, kick-started the video content on Lynchburg’s Facebook, and gave the University content they could use for years to come.
